"Wow, what a great time we had camping at Sleepy Dog! The grounds were beautifully kept,
the price was reasonable, and the hospitality was second to none. Unlike other places we have
stayed, we found that the Williams' were extremely obliging and treated us more like old friends
than simply paying customers. They had a knack for anticipating our needs and went out of
their way to make our stay pleasant and rewarding. We've been talking it up about Sleepy Dog since our return
home and we're already planning our return trip. Thanks Tom!"

Hi Tom,
I just finished taking a look at your website. Great job of it and I'm sure it works very well for your business. Your resort looks wonderful and very familiar in terms of the landscape ... I think my cabin may have been just south of you along the shoreline. I'll write you directly,
Paula

TOM, TERRY, Thanks again for a week of great fishing and fun at your camp. My son and son-in-law really had a good time and we caught lots of fish including walley, northern, perch, and whitefish. Also caught a few smallmouth but it may be a little early for them. One morning we caught and released three limits of very nice sized walley. We saw moose, otters, beavers, loons, eagles, rabbits, geese, ducks, and woodchucks during the week, love to see wildlife like that. Got home safe and will try very hard to be back next year.

Sept 13-20, 2003.
First time here, won't be the last!Fantastic week of fishing, relaxation and warm hospitality. The photos on this site are gorgeous and yet cannot do this place the justice it deserves. The view is incredible, no matter what the weather is. The deluxe cabin is so lovely, it was hard to tear ourselves away for fishing and that's what we were here for! We were happy to have a rainy day-so cozy inside. Rain on a tin roof is pure heaven. Ate most of our meals (mmmm, LOTS of walleye and northern) on the porch overlooking the lake. Fishing was a BLAST. The walleye and northern put up such a fight! The boat & motor that came w/cabin was great-so if you don't have one or don't want to bring your own along, you'll be all set to go. Tom and his nephew Terry always made sure we had whatever we needed. (hmm, on our next vacation could you march a moose past our cabin?)
If you're looking for a place to vacation, whether you're a bunch of guys wanting a great fishing trip and a nice place to stay (the 3 bedroom cabins are SO nice) or a couple like us looking for the perfect get-away (we highly recommend the deluxe cabin), Sleepy Dog is the place!
Thanks for everything Tom and Terry!

I haven't been to your resort but I noticed your site name on the back of a hockey player's jersey, in Thnuder Bay. I logged on to check out your site and it looks impressive. I fish a lot up around your way (mostly on Rainy Lake) but maybe someday we might get a chance to visit your place?

Good day Tom! Thanks so much for giving Pat and me the opportunity to be in your world for a weekend. WOW - We knew we were in for something special as soon as we turned the corner. Your architectural creations (cabins) were all one-of's. What a simply lovely spot. Mother Nature had taken us under her wings and graced us with her "wonderment" We just loved it and am looking forward to see you soon. Maybe we'll fish next time (snowed out). I hear they just jump right in the boat! Regards, P & J

Dear Tom,
Sleepy Dog Cabins was the most thrilling fishin trip that we have ever been on. Thank you for letting the seven of us guys stay at Sleepy Dog Cabins! It was the best fishing trip that we have been on. The cabins were just exactly what we imagined, the scenery was great, and so was the fishing. We can't stop talking about our upcomming trip to Sleepy Dog Cabins! See you in late June!

Wow! No words can describe the Sleepy Dog Cabins! They are my favorite place in the entire world. Tom makes you feel so at home. Maybe that's because we've been there every year and they are like family to us! The fishing is great, the camping grounds are wonderful and the view no matter where you are is beautiful! I wait all year long to come here. See you in a couple of weeks Tom!

Wow, what a great time we had camping at Sleepy Dog! The grounds were beautifully kept, the price was reasonable, and the hospitality was second to none. Unlike other places we have stayed, we found that the Williams' were extremely obliging and treated us more like old friends than simply paying customers. They had a knack for anticipating our needs and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and rewarding. Our campsite was level with good drainage. The washrooms and showers were extremely clean and well kept. The fishing was phenomenal, with no shortage of species. On the one day when the weather refused to cooperate for a launch on Wabaskang, Tom called back to camp with information about another lake close by where conditions were more favourable. We've been talking it up about Sleepy Dog since our return home and we're already planning our return trip. Thanks Tom!

Dear Tom,
I had the best time of my life this past week. I talked about it for hours with friends. I'm looking forward to the opportunity again next year. I have never caught so many fish in my life. Thank you Jeff for marking the way back to the cabins on the waterway. My wife LOVED the shirts. See ya next year.

Looking forward to another great fishing trip with the guys and our great hosts Tom. See you the last week of July, 2000. We are bringing in a new guest, and I am sure he will be hooked on "Canada Fishing" first class. Is there anything you need from the US?

I'm so happy my cousin and outdoors partner found this place! In my many trips here, it has been wonderful, relaxing and full of memories. Tom's hospitality is second to none. They even shared their living room with us to watch the Green Bay Packers game. The view is gorgeous, up on a hill overlooking the firey red sunset over the blue lake and the Northern Lights at night.
Did I say "the fishing is great", but you'll have to clean your own fish in a new, clean, modern fish cleaning facility. It's great!
For swimming, the beaches are so sandy, we couldn't resist swimming even in the fall when we were up there duck and grouse hunting. I want to thank Tom for the great times and many more to come.

I hope you have a great holiday season. We are all doing fine and look forward to coming back up again this year. I wanted to send a card up this year but no one would deliver without a house address! Do you have one? We'll talk to you before the ice is out and fish start jumping. Take care.

In order understand what the Sleepy Dog Cabins are all about you need to know several thing. The cabins are in great condition. The views are spectacular. The fishing is great. Finally, Tom gives you a level of service that is beyond your wildest dreams. During our trip(June 18-26, 1999) the fishing was good. Tom gave us the hot spots for the time of year. The bald eagles were soaring. I can not say enough good things about our experiences. Thank you Tom.

Just got back from my first Canadian trip ever and had a fabulous time!! Tom was an excellent host and helped make my first trip a memorable one. Everything that is described in their brochure or website is 100% accurate. They could teach a course in cabin management to a lot of resort owners with their knowledge! Once again, a big THANKS to the Williams for their hospitality!!!!

I'VE KNOWN TOM FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE BEEN THEIR
GUEST MORE TIMES THAN I CAN REMEMBER. I'VE NEVER HAD A BAD
EXPERIENCE. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL AT HOME
THEY ALWAYS RUN A HIGH CLASS OPERATION. THE CABINS ARE MODERN AND
SPOTLESS, AND THE SETTING IS BEAUTIFUL. TOM HAS LIVED IN THE AREA
ALL HIS LIFE AND KNOWS WHAT FISH ARE BITING AND WHERE. I HAVE
FISHED ALL OVER THE MIDWEST AND NORTHWEST ONTARIO, AND I'VE
NEVER FOUND NICER PEOPLE OR A NICER PLACE.

Our vacation at Sleepy Dog was the best vacation we ever had with our children. It was so relaxing and exciting. The fishing was great for all of us. Our oldest daughter learned how to water ski, thanks to Tom. Our son and middle daughter enjoyed knee boarding, and our 3 year old loved the sandy beach. The lake and all the surroundings are beautiful. The sunsets are unbelievable!!! Tom is a great host. They are very friendly and informative. The cabins are top notch with plenty of room, and we already have our reservations for 99.
